Game Summary
Call of duty 5 is going to be the fifth addition to the Call of Duty series, or 8 if you include all the current expansion packs and any console versions.
The news of this new addition was confirmed on December 2, 2007. The expexted release date is sometime around March 31 2009 which is the end of Activision's fiscal year.
The game will be available on the following platforms: XBOX 360, Wii, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and PC.
Call of Duty 5: World at War Already Playable
It appears that Call of Duty 5 is so far in development that it is already playable.
The name of the game is World at War. The fifth edition to the series. From sources, Call of Duty 5 is currently going through a quality assurance programme. The setting of the game is looking more and like WWII somewhere in the pacific. The game is based of the Call of Duty 4's engine which was a huge success.
Treyarch have said that the game would be coming to XBOX 360, PC, DS Playstations 3, and making a return to Playstation 2.
With high doubts about the game's quality from Treyarch, we can only wait and see the final outcome to see if it will be another Call of Duty 4 or just another episode.
In this release new elements such as swimming will be introduced for the very first time in the Call of Duty series. Limitations of the player while in water will also be added.Also making a first time appearance will be flamethrowers which will act with the flammable environments within the game. Other various items have been spotted within the game such as swords which will be a step forward to making the game more mature than the previous episodes.
